Slovakia offers field hospitals to migrants in Slovenia

As part of Slovakia's help to Slovenia to address the inflow of migrants, Slovakia's Armed Forces are able to provide part of their ROLE 2E field hospitals and medical personnel. If Slovenia asks for help from Slovakia, the ministry stands ready to dispatch as many as 15 Slovak medical personnel to Slovenia including general practitioners, a general or trauma surgeon and other medicine specialists. "Our military health care personnel have a wealth of experience from crisis situations, because they were previously deployed in the ISAF operation in Afghanistan," said Defence Minister Martin Glváč. Chief of the General Staff Milan Maxim also highlighted what he called the "unique experience" of Slovak army medical personnel "from being deployed in a crisis situation".
