Slovenské Elektrárne possibly sold to EPH

Enel has reached a general agreement to sell part of its stake in Slovakia's main electricity producer Slovenské Elektrárne to the Czech-based EPH, Reuters reported referring to a senior source at Italy's biggest utility. The source said the exclusive talks were meant to be wrapped up on October 16. Though a broad agreement had been struck, the parties decided to take another month to work out the details. The Czech group EPH did not confirm the information presented by the media. "Talks are still continuing. As soon as the agreement is signed we will inform the public and the media," spokesperson for EPH Daniel Castvaj said in reaction. Italy's Enel sent a similar statement.
