President Kiska discusses Ukraine and refugee crisis with Estonian counterpart

Slovak President Andrej Kiska visited Estonia's capital Tallinn on Monday. In discussions with his Estonian counterpart the two politicians mainly focused on the ongoing refugee crisis and the situation in Ukraine. According to President Kiska, Ukraine needs many reforms and these reforms are often hard for citizens. However, they are necessary if Ukraine is serious about joining the European Union - and they will have the support of all EU-member countries in this. Regarding the refugee crisis, Kiska and Estonian President Toomas Hendrik Ilves agreed on expressing solidarity on this point. During his visit Kiska expressed interest in learning as much as possible about Estonia's e-Government. He visited a centre for innovation called e-Estonia Showroom where he saw the e-Government program in action. He also took part at a seminar on the cooperation between innovation and start-up ecosystems of Finland and Estonia. On Tuesday President Kiska is visiting Finland.
