Approximately 100 children from the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine who are on a two-week visit to Slovakia had a look around the Slovak Parliament and Bratislava Castle on Monday. Children selected for this trip had either been evacuated or relocated from an occupied area, or are children living in a war zone near the demarcation line between areas held by the Ukrainian Government forces and the pro-Russian separatists. The children prepared songs and gifts for the Speaker of Parliament Peter Pellegrini. As part of this project, a group of 90 Ukrainian children visited Slovakia in March and had a similar tour. They were from the neighbouring Luhansk region in eastern Ukraine.
