Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico welcomed the common EU-Turkey action plan aimed at stemming the flow of migrants to Europe. According to him, the liberalisation of the visa regime between the EU and Turkey is legitimate. Slovak Premier Robert Fico stated ahead of an EU summit in Brussels that the Slovak Government had allocated a total of €21 million to deal with the migration crisis. Given the population and strength of Slovakia's economy, the country will be one of the most significant contributors towards the EU's Madat aid programme, noted Fico.
