The European Commission claims that Slovakia is fulfilling preparatory steps for the relocation of 160,000 refugees based on quotas. However, Prime Minister Robert Fico and Interior Minister Robert Kaliňák announced after the Cabinet session on Wednesday that the Cabinet further rejects the mandatory redistribution and will lodge a lawsuit over its approval by the Council of the European Union, reads the Sme daily. Slovakia has already established the National Contact Point that should serve as a bridge among the European Commission, the receiving country and officials who pick refugees on the ground.
