The emissions scam of Germany's Volkswagen begins to take its cruel toll also in Slovakia. The German group lost its reputation in the world. The car maker has announced annual investment cuts of 1 billion EURO. According to information in the daily Pravda, the new management summoned representatives of individual factories to Germany and told them to settle the form of cuts with trade unions. As a rule, trade unionists negotiate staff pay and fringe benefits with the management. The talks about austerity in Slovakia will start next week.
