Restaurants and pubs recorded the highest annual increase in employment; 6.7 percent at the end of August, according to the Slovak Statistics Office. Employment also increased in information and communication technology (2.9 percent) and industry (1.7 percent). The number of employed people dropped in transport and warehousing (by 0.9 percent) and in retail (by 0.1 percent).
