If a general election had taken place in early October, it would have been won by the governing Smer-SD party with 38.9 percent, a score that would have secured 73 MPs for the party in the 150-seat Parliament, according to an AKO agency poll released on Monday. A total of six parties would have made it into Parliament. Second place would have gone to Siet with 20 MPs, followed by the Slovak National Party with 16 MPs, Most-Hid and the Christian Democrats with 15 MPs each, and the liberals from Freedom and Solidarity with 11 MPs. The coalition of Ordinary People and NOVA would fail to make it into Parliament.
