Slovakia and Tunisia to cooperate in science and technology

The agreement on science & technology cooperation between Slovakia and Tunisia that was approved by the Government at its session on Wednesday will lead to joint projects as well as more intensive exchanges of researchers, reports TASR. The initiative to conclude an agreement with Tunisia came from the Slovak Education, Science, Research and Sport Ministry. The aim is to facilitate joint science-technology projects as well as exchanges of researchers, specialists, scientists, experts and related information and documentation. Direct contacts between science institutes, societies, universities, government agencies and other research and development organisations should be established. The two countries should also create a commission, which will supervise the progress made in cooperation, identify areas and forms of cooperation and prepare regular reports on performed activities. The commission should be made up of representatives of both countries and will meet every two years or based on current needs.
