Slovak President Andrej Kiska has sent a telegram of condolences to his Hungarian counterpart Janos Áder in response to the death of former Hungarian president Árpád Göncz at the age of 93 on Tuesday (October 6), Martin Lipták from the President's Office's Press Department informed TASR late on Tuesday evening. "A great central European politician has passed away, a dedicated democrat and a tireless and unbreakable fighter, who as the first post-communist president - with his moral authority and personal qualities - significantly assisted in the successful transformation of Hungarian society", wrote Kiska to Áder in reference to Göncz, who was head of state in Hungary from 1990-2000.
