Slovak President Andrej Kiska on RTVS's talk show 'O 5 Minut 12' ('Five Minutes to Twelve') on Sunday said that the he'll focus on the migration crisis and Slovakia's position in Europe related to the country's rejection of the mandatory immigration quotas in a speech before the House. Kiska announced that he's already asked Parliamentary Chairman Peter Pellegrini to be provided scope for a speech, which should take place on Wednesday. The president said that he doesn't view the mandatory distribution of migrants among EU member countries as a move that will resolve the immigration problem, but "we should freely express our will and willingness to accept a certain number of people who want to share our values. We should have shown our willingness to help in this, but we haven't done it." He said that Slovakia, despite being a small country, has the right to give its opinion; but at the same time it needs to secure allies for the future. "It's important to realise our place in Europe," said Kiska.
