The police have asked the public for help in searching for a woman calling herself Senty who advertised healing and fortune telling services and swindled a client out of €14,000. The swindler placed an advert in local newspapers, offering healing and fortune telling. A 56-year-old woman from the Levice district responded to the advert, because she had a granddaughter with health problems. They met a couple of times before the fortune teller told her to bring all the money she had, because her money was cursed and needed to be purified. At their next meeting the lady brought €14,000. The fraudster counted the money and packed it in tinfoil. She then poured the clients some water into which she added an unknown substance, sending them into another room to spill the liquid. When they returned, the fortune teller wrapped the supposed money in tinfoil into a towel and put it in the deceived woman's handbag, telling her unpack the money in 24 hours and adding that they should light a candle at midnight. When the woman called the fortune teller at midnight, a male voice told her that the fortune teller had had to fly to Greece by helicopter and that the money had been transformed into paper. Unwrapping the towel and tinfoil, the woman indeed found worthless paper cut-outs.
