The minimum monthly amount that must remain in the pockets of a person, against whom debt collection is conducted, will increase to €198.09 from the current €118.85. This is according to a proposal that the Ministry of Justice submitted to the Government and which if it's approved will come into effect in November. The reasoning behind it points to the worsening social situation of the population in relation to the enormously high number of debt collections carried out. The change will improve the legal protection of people affected by the levy of execution deductions from wages and other income.
