Forty-two asylum seekers from Syria, who are currently accommodated in a tent camp in the Austrian village of Krumpendorf will move to a refugee facility in Gabčíkovo in Slovakia on Thursday, according to the Austrian news agency APA. They are the first contingent of the 500 people that Slovakia agreed to temporary accommodate in its facility while their asylum applications are processed by the Austrian authorities. They remain registered in the Austrian system of asylum seekers. In a referendum held in August locals opposed the placement of migrants in Gabčíkovo.
