If parliamentary elections were held in September, SMER-SD would win with 37.7 percent. this comes from a poll organised by the agency FOCUS, carried out in the form of personal interviews from September 1 to September 9. In the sample were 1,003 respondents, representing Slovakia's adult population in terms of gender, age, education, nationality, the size of community and regional structure. The respondents were asked: "Imagine that parliamentary elections are held this weekend and following parties would run. Which party would you vote for?" The relative newcomer Sieť placed second with 11.4 percent, followed by the Christian Democrat party (KDH) on 8.2 percent, the coalition of OLaNO and NOVA with 8 percent, MOST-HID with 7.1 percent, and the Slovak National Party (SNS) with 6.4 percent. The Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) party would just get its foot in the door with 5.4 percent of the vote.
