The EU Energy Union project is going ahead on schedule, European Commission Vice-president for Energy Union Maros Sefcovic said in Bratislava on Thursday. Speaking at a roundtable debate organised by the French-Slovak Chamber of Commerce, he added that 90 percent of the building blocks for the union will be ready by the end of 2016. "A strategy for science and research in energy and a strategy for the heating and air-conditioning of buildings should be presented by the end of this year", said Sefcovic. A large gas package should be submitted early next year. It should concern security of gas supplies and transparency of gas commercial contracts.
