72 percent of Slovak population uses internet

A survey carried out in the first half of 2015 showed that 72 percent of the Slovak population uses the internet. It is an increase of 10 percentage points over the past three years. The highest proportion of internet users (95 percent) can be found among young people aged between 15-29. People aged between 30-39 years also feature a large proportion of internet users (90 percent). "The interesting thing is that one in every ten people aged over 70 years is also using the internet, while three years ago it was only 3 percent", said Julius Filo from the agency GfK which carried out the survey.
