The 10-day, international military exercise of the Slovak Armed Forces operating under the name Slovak Shield is entering its final phase. Upon completion, nearly four thousand soldiers will have participated in it and more than 600 military vehicles, including tanks and armoured personnel carriers will have been in action, Defence Ministry spokesperson Martina Ballekova informed. Joint exercises with NATO squadrons, attended by US F15 and F16 fighters, Swedish Gripens, with the French Mirage and Rafale fighters have also been taking place.
