Slovakia might lose hundreds of million Eur for the transit of gas through its territory. The Russian company Gazprom wants to multiply the capacity of its north European pipeline Nord Stream by 2019. The Russians have predbezne agreed on building new pipelines with European energy companies. The Prime Minister Robert Fico said RTVS that this step will harm not only Slovakia but also Ukraine. The Nord Stream gas pipeline runs under the Baltic sea and connects Russia with Germany.
