Fatal accident involving transported migrants in northern Slovakia

A fatal car crash in the Horelica tunnel close to Čadca, northern Slovakia, involved a Polish van with 23 people of Syrian origin. The victim of the accident was a front seat passenger of the crashed car which was from Slovakia. The 57-year-old driver of the Polish van was driving in the wrong direction on the road between Zilina and Cadca, northern Slovakia. The Syrian men attempted to escape from the scene. They were aged between 18 and 53, while the three minors were 13, 15 and 17 years old, respectively
