Rumours have been spreading in Malacky, south-west Slovakia, that asylum seekers have been accommodated in the town. This prompted mayor Juraj Riha to approach the Interior Ministry as to whether the claims were true. However, the ministry denied the rumours. More intense movement at the Fire and Rescue Corps Salvage Brigade on Tovarenska Street turned out to be the preventive preparation of state forces to challenge a possible critical situation. "Malacky is located in a border area", the town's spokesperson Lubica Pilzova informed. Malacky is only a few kilometres from the Austrian border.
