Slovakia's state budget deficit shrunk significantly in August. In annual terms, it was lower by over 55 percent, when at the end of the eighth month of this year the deficit reached €1.08 billion. In August alone, the deficit of the public administration was lower by €106 million. In particular, rising revenue was responsible for the better performance of the state budget, reads the Hospodárske Noviny daily.
