Prime Minister speaks up against allegations

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Robert Fico called upon OLaNO leader Igor Matovič, to take political responsibility for the accusation that he and his wife founded a shell company in Belize. According to Fico, Matovič should give up his parliamentary mandate. "I expect that the individual who spreads such allegations will assume political responsibility, since a police investigation has disproved the false allegations", said Fico. "The financial intelligence unit in Belize informed respective Slovak law enforcement bodies that Robert Fico and his wife do not have, and have never had any personal or business accounts, or other financial products held in financial institutions in Belize and that these people are not even signatories on any accounts owned by legal entities in Belize", reads Fico's statement, using this as a response to previous accusations from Igor Matovič.
