"In general our goals are quite clear. Our strategy is to broaden our broadcasting services and several analyses have pointed to the fact that there is a growing number of foreigners living and working in Bratislava, so we will be providing them with a broadcasting service in a language they can understand", explains Radio & Television Slovakia (RTVS) general director Vaclav Mika, adding that such an upgrade of RTVS' broadcasting services won't be of any special technical or economical demand to the institution.
"First of all we have to note that this is not an experiment and that it is supposed to be a permanent broadcast service. It isn't very financially demanding because we will be using our existing capacities - our colleagues and our existing broadcasting content. Moreover we were allowed by the Council for Broadcasting and Retransmission to use the frequency of Radio Patria in Bratislava. So the whole project is more about its innovative content then financial demands".
