Slovak general election likely on March 5 or February 27

Two dates have been put forward for the upcoming general election, with the event likely to be held on either March 5 or February 27 in 2016. This was announced by Parliamentary Chairman Peter Pellegrini when members of the State Commission for Elections and Funding of Political Parties were sworn in on Tuesday. "We're discussing the dates ... everything is being subjected to analyses and discussions", said Pellegrini. If technically possible, March 12 is also an option, he added. "But I think it's more like either March 5 or February 27", said Pellegrini. The planned election date has to be called before the middle of November.
