President Kiska leaves Pilsen Hospital after operation

Slovak President Andrej Kiska walked out of a faculty hospital in Pilsen (Czech Republic) - with the help of crutches. Kiska underwent surgery in the hospital on Thursday (August 20), which removed growths and inflamed tissue from his hip-joint area. "The hospital has a history of experience with this difficult medical procedure; operations of this kind have been carried out there since 2006 and they have performed more than 600 such operations", said Roman Krpelan from the President's Office in reply to questions asking why the president did not undergo the operation in Slovakia.
