The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the national program for the use of the wood potential in Slovakia. It basically wants to establish the starting point of raw material options for wood processing companies based on which the factory operators will be able to plan their processing capacity and development programs. Most importantly, it should allow the companies to take full advantage of all domestic resources.
“This is mainly to ensure that the wood logged in Slovakia is not exported without increased added value, so that it is processed in Slovakia, while preserving or creating new jobs in wood processing, the furniture industry, energy sector, as well as other cooperating sectors,” claims the Agriculture Ministry that drafted the national program.
