Health Minister Viliam Čislák (SMER-SD nominee) has lost the trust of health professionals due to a legislative proposal designed to address their remuneration. This is why they decided to turn directly to Prime Minister Robert Fico. On Wednesday, representatives of four chambers and two trade union organisations submitted a request for a meeting. "We expect he will meet with us and we will be able to familiarize him with our arguments, why we disapprove with the draft law submitted in this way and, certainly, we expect responsiveness of the government to find funds for the salaries of medical workers", stated President of the Slovak Chamber of Nurses and Midwives Iveta Lazorová for the Sme daily.
