Smer-SD political party leads in polls

If parliamentary elections in Slovakia were held at the turn of July and August, the currently governing political Smer-SD would win with 34.6 percent of the vote. These results stem from a survey carried out by the polling agency Focus from July 28 to August 4, calculated from a personal questionnaire. The sample in the survey consisted of 1,017 respondents. The Sieť (Network) party, headed by Radoslav Procházka, would follow in second place with 11.9 percent, followed by the Christian Democrat (KDH) party (8.8 percent), with the recent coalition of OLaNO and NOVA in third place (8.1 percent). Following in fourth and fifth places are Most-Hid (7.5 percent) and the Slovak National Party (SNS) (7 percent). According to the survey, the party Freedom and Solidarity (SaS) would just squeeze into Parliament with 5.1 percent of all votes.
