The time when Slovak workers commuted to jobs in the neighbouring Czech Republic, while only a tiny fraction of Czech workers travelled in the opposite direction, is in the past now. This is according to the personnel-consulting company McRoy Slovakia, which notes that higher numbers of Czechs have recently begun commuting to Slovakia. "The reason is simple; they earn more than they would earn at home. According to estimates, some 100-5,000 workers commute to Slovakia from southern Moravia", says Branislav Holík from the consulting company. In Slovakia they receive a salary of about 900 euro, which is the equivalent of about 25,000 CZK.
