Slovak Intelligence Service monitoring migrant situation

The Slovak Intelligence Service (SIS) is continuing to closely monitor and evaluate the current situation in which the EU is facing a rapid influx of migrants, and is implementing appropriate security measures in cooperation with partner organisations. "In the case of illegal migration the security threat lies mainly in the prospect of an infiltration by individuals suspected of terrorism and their arrival to EU soil. Of course, SIS can't comment on specific measures nor the details of its cooperation with counterpart services in this or other areas because such a comment might violate legislation pertaining to confidential information and lead to the erosion of mutual trust and standing when it comes to our own, as well as EU and NATO services", said SIS spokesperson Branislav Zvara.
