The average amount of an old-age pension at the end of last year reached €400.14 which represents only about 46% of the current average salary. This results from an analysis of the private pension company DDS Tatra Banka which adds that it will become more difficult to maintain the current standard of living when you retire or raise it. "We can expect in the future that people with above-average wages will receive a retirement pension only slightly higher than those with average or below-average wages", said economic analyst Juraj Valachy.
