One of the three soldiers from the military helicopter that crashed on Tuesday (July 28) is communicating at Prešov Hospital and is in a stable condition, the hospital's spokesperson Renáta Cenková told TASR on Thursday. The crash left one pilot dead, while the other two crew members suffered serious injuries. The man was moved from the department of anaesthesiology and intensive care to the department of trauma surgery. According to Cenková, the man's family doesn't want his medical condition described in detail to the media. Second Deputy of the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces Pavel Macko announced on the same day that both soldiers are in stable conditions. The fire brigade was called out to put out the fire. The accident is being investigated by the Defence Ministry's Military Aviation Office and the Chief of General Staff's committee. All flights of Mi-17 helicopters, apart from those used by the search and rescue air service, have been halted until further notice.
