Bratislava Transport Company (DPB) received six new articulated trolleybuses Skoda 31Tr on Wednesday, rounding off the number of new trolleybuses in DPB's fleet to 100, TASR learnt from DPB spokesperson Adriana Volfová on Thursday. "This marks the conclusion of supplies of articulated trolleybuses, of which there are 70 [operating] in Bratislava now", said Volfová. "The vehicles will begin to operate in several days, after all documentation is arranged, and they will be put into operation on the routes on which articulated trolleybuses already circulate", she added. The individual lines across the city should undergo a revamp in some two months, which is enabled by the adding of the modern articulated trolleybuses. DPB is set to receive another 20 new trolleybuses in September and October, which would mark the conclusion of a revamp of DPB's fleet. The upgrade worth €73 million including VAT is primarily funded from the EU's Cohesion Fund (81 percent), with 14 percent chipped in by the state and another 5 percent co-funded by Bratislava City Hall.
