Peter Sagan had a successful but difficult Tour de France

Peter Sagan became one of the Tour de France legends, as he gained his fourth victory in the point’s competition in the race. “I am glad I received the green jersey again. My role in the race was different this year than in the previous years. This is my fourth year on the Tour and I have not had a more difficult one yet. I tried to perform as best as possible. Every year gaining the green jersey is unique and different in some way. This time I fought for it with André Greipel and in the end I won the fight,” stated Peter Sagan. In the overall Tour de France standings he came in the first fifty and in his age group of cyclists under the age of 25 he came 6^th. He was among the top first ten cyclists ten times this year and came second five times. Sagan considers this year’s Tour de France and his performance to have gone well, beyond his expectations.
