The High Tatras are “in” this summer

This summer season is showing higher numbers of tourists to the High Tatra National park than last year. The number of longer stays, which is of 5 nights and more, has gone up. Tourists from New Zealand, India and Malaysia are among the unexpected visitors to the region. "The weather has definitely played a big part, as it was ideal for a stay in our great mountains," claims Lenka Maťašovská, director of the regional tourism organisation adding that another reason for the hike in tourist numbers could be a card offering visitors to the Tatras a number of discounts.
