Lighting of candles banned at Bratislava cemeteries

The extremely hot and dry weather has resulted in a somewhat unusual measure that has been adopted in the Slovak capital - a ban on lighting candles at cemeteries run by Bratislava City Funeral Service Marianum. This ban will be in place until further notice, or until it cools down or rains, said Marianum director Miloslav Hradek. Bratislava is one of the Slovak localities with a second-degree heat alert in place on Wednesday and Thursday.
