This weekend will see high temperatures return with some areas in Slovakia likely to peak at 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit) on Saturday and Sunday, according to the Slovak Hydrometeorological Institute. The heatwave is expected to cover all of central and southern Slovakia over the weekend, with mostly sunny skies and very light winds predicted. Residents are reminded to drink water and stay in the shade during peak temperatures.
