The number of Slovak tourists visiting the Austrian capital Vienna is rising, not only when it comes to day trips but also in regard to overnight stays. According to Vienna City Hall, almost 60,000 Slovaks stayed a minimum of one night in Vienna last year, which is a y-o-y increase of more than 8,000. Bratislava bus operator Slovak Lines has also noticed more interest in Vienna. "We've register heightened interest in travelling to Vienna, especially in the holiday season," said Slovak Lines CEO Peter Sádovský. The Austrian capital is one of Europe's most popular places to visit. Slovaks also like visiting Prague and Budapest.
