Music festival ends with hundreds of slashed tires

Dozens of visitors at this year's Bažant Pohoda music festival, the largest Slovak music festival held at the Trenčín Airport, were treated to an unpleasant surprise on the event's last day. Many found tires of their automobiles slashed. According to Trenčín Regional Police Corps spokesman Pavol Kudlička, the number of cars damaged this way cannot be specified at the moment, as criminal complaints are still being filed. The majority of cars had two tires slashed; therefore, even reserve tires were of no help to affected drivers, with many becoming stuck at the parking lot adjacent to the airport. "Despite this sad report and incomprehensible action, we are pleased that the affected people helped each other, which only strengthened the nature of our festival," reads the statement from the organizers of the festival.
