After the first nine stages of the Tour de France cycling race, Peter Sagan cycling for the Tinkoff-Saxo team rides on as the holder of two prestigious jerseys: white jersey as the best rider under the age of 26, and the green jersey for the best sprinter. In the later competition, he has managed to get ahead of his biggest rival André Greipel during the 8th stage after finishing the climb of Mûr de Bretagne in 4th place. For a day he was very close to the yellow jersey; however after Sunday’s team time trial Sagan descended in the overall position with no high hopes for the mountain stages. “It is a dream of every cyclist to be eligible for the yellow jersey. But I am not ending my career yet, I might give it another try next year”, said Sagan.
