Cabinet wants to motivate young professionals to return to Slovakia

On the last cabinet session before summer holidays taking place today, besides other things ministers should also discuss financial motivation for graduates of foreign universities, or young professionals working abroad to return back to Slovakia. The Ministry of Education in cooperation with the Finance Ministry launched a project called "Return Home" and for the period 2015-2018 they have allocated one million euro per year, so far. Those eligible for a €10,000 grant must be budding entrepreneurs who have studied at a prestigious foreign university and are younger than 40 years old, who have not been employed for three years and have never been self employed in Slovakia before. Slovaks working in a senior position abroad for more than 10 years will be motivated by a sum of €50,000.
