Second-level travel recommendation degree for Tunisia and Turkey

The Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry have raised their recommendation to second-degree (out of four - the higher, the more dangerous) concerning travel to Turkey and Tunisia, a level that advises people to "consider the need to travel to particular areas." The security situation in Turkey has been deteriorating due to the ongoing conflict in Syria, especially when it comes to Turkey's south-eastern border regions. Though the travel recommendation doesn't include major summer holiday destinations, the ministry does recommend that tourists should be careful throughout their stay in Turkey and should avoid events attended by high concentrations of people and/or demonstrations. Meanwhile, after the recent terrorist attack on a beach resort in Sousse in Tunisia that claimed the lives of 38 foreign tourists, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi has announced a state of emergency in the country. The Slovak Foreign Affairs Ministry doesn't expect a negative impact on the freedom of movement or other restrictions on tourists, but at the same time it warns Slovak citizens about the current security risk related to terrorist attacks on holiday resorts, and tourist sites and attractions.
