Kažimír: Greece’s decision cannot mean easier access to money

The rejection of reforms for Greece cannot simply mean easier access to more money, said Slovak Finance Minister Peter Kažimír via Twitter on Sunday, July 5. On the same day, during TA3's discussion show 'V politike' (In Politics), Prime Minister Robert Fico stated that Greece and Slovakia aren't linked by deep economic relations, nor are their financial sectors interconnected, so nothing that happens in Greece will affect Slovakia's financial situation. At a press conference today (Monday, July 6) Finance Minister Peter Kažimír stated that while he respects the decision of the people in Greece, "Following the referendum [on whether or not to adopt further EU-sanctioned austerity measures], possible crisis scenarios may eventuate such as the gradual withdrawal of Greece from the eurozone".
