Sagan takes second place in second Tour de France stage

Slovak cyclist Peter Sagan finished in second place in Sunday's second stage of the 102nd year of the Tour de France cycle race. After completing the 166 kilometre route from Utrecht to the island of Neeltje Jans, Sagan crossed the line close behind Andre Greipel from Germany. In third place was Fabian Cancellara from Switzerland. Sagan scored 30 points from the race, with nine gained via a speed bonus. Slovakia's Sagan suffered a puncture with only 15 kilometres remaining, causing him to stop to switch bikes. Despite this setback, he caught back up with the lead pack and crossed the line in a remarkable second place.
