The famous Folklore Festival Východná starts in the east of Slovakia as of Friday, July 2. The biggest presentation of traditional folk culture in Slovakia with international ensembles participating will host 2000 performers. The number hits record of the 61st annual of this event. The organisers will also pay tributes to dancer, actor, choreographer and director Martin Tapak who died earlier this year. The festival will close on Sunday, July 5.
