Impressionist breakfast on grass to take place at Nitra

People who happen to be in Nitra this coming Sunday will be able to experience a Breakfast on the Grass in the Spirit of Impressionism in front of the 11th-century early Romanesque church located on a hill towering above the borough of Dražovce. Last year the picnic was a notable success being attended by around 500 people. Apart from the picnic, the organisers have also prepared a cultural programme. The small church - one of the oldest and most iconic churches in Slovakia, which currently holds a Mass only once a year, on Saint Michael's Day (September 29) - will now serve as the stage for an exhibition of works by painter and graphic designer Karol Felix and by fashion designer and florist Robert Bartolen, while actors from the Andrej Bagar Theatre in Nitra will perform a play called Impressionist Image and the Tralalaskola primary arts school from Nitra will present the work of its pupils.
