The good old days are over and we must be prepared for years of instability, stressed Slovak President Andrej Kiska during his speech at the International Security Forum GLOBSEC. He repeatedly underlined that the international community must overcome their indifference, inconsistency and indecision, especially in regard to Russia and the situation in Eastern Ukraine. Also the American Republican senator and chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, John McCain spoke at GLOBSEC critically about Russia and its leader. "We believe that Vladimir Putin is not just a threat to Ukraine, he is a threat to Europe. If he succeeds in Ukraine, there is no doubt that he is putting enormous pressure on other countries in the region as well, and he should be stopped," warned McCain, adding that it's shameful that other countries are merely observing the fact how one of the sovereign European countries is being parceled.
