Slovak President welcomed Francois Hollande

Slovak President Andrej Kiska received French President Francois Hollande on Friday. Their meeting focused on the recent development in the European Union. The main topics included economic consolidation, Greek debt and immigration, with the presidents agreeing that quotas for migrants represent no solution. "However, I have stressed the position of our country that we cannot refuse to help those whose lives are endangered", said Andrej Kiska. According to Francois Hollande, "it is necessary to accept immigrants who are at risk of death". After discussing the issues of Greece's debt and the recent developments in Ukraine, the Slovak President summed up that "there is no topic in the world in which the French stance would not be accepted". Andrej Kiska welcomed the interest of France in co-operation with the Visegrád Four countries. The Slovak President also met with British Prime Minister David Cameron. One of the topics discussed was the planned referendum about Great Britain's membership in the EU.
